Phils news…11/6
Heyyy everyone!!! Here’s your daily fill of Phillies news…
Hail to the Chief….aaand Phils news for the day.
Congrats to Obama for getting over 300 electoral votes and winning the Presidency…it’s time for change!!!
hey everyone…
Just reminding everyone to go out and vote!!!!
Doesn’t matter who you’re voting for, just go out and do it!!!!!
The new GM is…
…Ruben Amaro, Jr.!!
Good choice, front office…good choice.
He’s been up there with the best of them for a while now, and definitely deserves it.
Cannot wait until 2009!!!!
after baseball…thanks for making me featured blog!!!
I am still taking it all in…
I want every single piece of memorabilia available, but unfortunately my income won’t allow it…haha.
And, after all is said and done, I don’t think it’s fully hit me just yet.
I cannot get enough of the final out, and I’ll remember till the day I die where I was and what my reaction was when I witnessed my first world championship in my lifetime.
The parade in itself made my lifetime. I may have been there since 6 am, stood for 6 straight hours (which, trust me, I am completely paying for now..lol), and got caught up in the mayhem known as Philadelphia public transportation…but it was all worth it, just to see all the Phils up on their floats, taking pictures and videos, and just basking in their moment. J-Roll waved to me
, because I was screaming my lungs out, and I spotted him and yelled J-ROLL!!!!! He pointed, laughed, and waved. Best moment ever, right there. Unfortunately, Chase Utley was on the opposite side of me
, but it’s ok, cause I still got home in time to see the rally at Citizen’s Bank Park on TV!!!!!!! Ohhhh man, best day of my life, easily. Well, besides the win Wednesday night.
It’s amazing, but now all I can root for is for February and March to get their butts here!!! haha.
But, until Spring Training comes, I still have the other three major sports, the Eagles, the Flyers, and the Sixers…luckily, all show some type of promise this season.
The Eagles beat down on the Seahawks, 26-7.
The Flyers, unfortunately, lost a tough one to the Oilers, 5-4.
The Sixers don’t play until tomorrow.
Ok, ok…none are as awesome as the Phillies are, but of course a world championship will do that to ya
Now, I’m just hoping for a complete takeover in Philly by the other major sports teams…that, my friends, would be AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
PS-Thanks so much for making me the featured blog!!! I gotta say, it was awesome to see my face on the home page of the MLB blogs site!!!!!!!!
no time for losers, cause we are the champions..OF THE WORLD<3
Words are just not an option right now…I cried a little and couldn’t stop shaking after the final out….I am the happiest I’ve ever been…Christmas came early for me
haha…
I’ve been waiting 22 years for this, and finally, it’s here!!!!!! World Champions…it’s an amazing feeling!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a little upset that there is no more baseball, my favorite sport, until next year….but, I’ll be able to bask in the awesomeness that is a World Championship until then
You know I’ll be at the parade tomorrow, I am so excited!!!!!!!!! This is my first championship parade in my lifetime, so you know it’ll just be amazing..
THANK YOU PHILS!!!!!! You guys have made my life<33333
ONE MORE WIN
That’s the cheer that can be heard on the streets of Philly, and the surrounding area.
It’s amazing, and, just like their bid to the World Series, too good for words. We’ve been waiting for so long, and FINALLY, it’s here….
The only thing standing in our way? Game 5.
But, while we may have one more game to play, I have complete confidence…and why is that?
Because we have Cole Hamels. It’s Game 1 all over again…and we all know how that came out…with a win
You better believe that if we win it all tonight, I will be in the city tomorrow, watching the parade. In fact, I might even go tonight…we’ll see.
First, let’s go over Game 4….
It was awesome. We were so good, our pitcher even hit a home run, which was probably the best one I’ve ever seen. Ryan Howard hit two long ones, and Jayson Werth added one in for good measure. We stepped all over the Rays’ toes, but did it the good old-fashioned way: by showing we have talent.
Let’s hope that Game 5 is just as exciting, which, regardless, it’ll probably blow Games 1-4 out of the water!!!!
LET’S GO PHILS!!!
world series so far….
While games 1 and 2 weren’t exactly the run-packed games that we thought it was gonna be, of course, game 1 was still the best!!!! But, game 2 tied it up…
Which leads us to (hopefully) game 3…
Let’s pray for the rain to go away!!!
LET’S GO PHILS!!!!!
well how about that….
It’s gonna be a Phillies-Rays world series….
I called it!!!!
Bring ‘em on!!!!!
LET’S GO PHILS!!
Waiting stinks….and still am speechless.
A week without my Phils is touuuugh. Tougher than I thought, actually…but, I guess it’ll all be worth it in the end
I still can’t put my joy and excitement into words. It’s too hard, but I guess the huge smile on my face moving into next week says it all…
Wednesday is just gonna be great. I know they’ll play with everything they’ve got. They’ve got a great mentality right now by taking it one game at a time. It’s healthy, and doesn’t distract as much…
The South Jersey paper released an article today listing the price of World Series tickets in Philly. The grand total?? $405 for standing room, and up to $20,000 for seats….yes, kids, that is PER TICKET. I just wish I had the money to pay for a ticket, cause I would in a heartbeat!!!! But, I guess I’ll just settle for watching them on TV, in which I’m not complaining..haha.
ESPN mentioned that they’ll play a simulated game tomorrow, probably to keep themselves loose…wonder if it’ll be on TV? Cause I’d love to watch it!
In other baseball news…
the Rays/Red Sox game last night was definitely fun to watch. Like everyone else, I thought it was over after 7-0, but the Sox showed their resilience and came back to win by one run.
They play tomorrow night, and should make for some interesting TV…
Who do I think will win? While I know it’s downright dangerous to count Boston out of anything, I think Tampa has the upright in this situation. Playing at home, with your best pitcher starting, possibly pulling a vengence card? It makes sense, but when it comes to the playoffs, you have to throw the sense out the window….with that said, I’m still gonna go with the Rays.
As far as who I WANT to win, I’m still not sure…like I said, I’m still giddy from making it this far……..so, like I’ve been saying all this postseason, we’ll just have to wait and see…
LET’S GO PHILS!!!
